This delightfully, warm and welcoming 4 bedroom, traditionally built chalet is situated in a tranquil hamlet just outside of Stadl an Der Mür lying on the borders of the picturesque provinces of Salzburg, Styria and Carinthia. Perfectly placed for all year round sports or relaxing in beautiful surroundings.

The ground floor comprises, entrance hall with bench and hanging space for coats and jackets etc. The main living area is very comfortable and cosy. It is also very spacious and light, with views over the mountains as there are windows on all three sides of the living / dining area. A breakfast bar/servery separates the kitchen from the dining area which contains corner seating with four additional chairs (seats eight very comfortably). The lounge has plenty of comfortable seating with English T.V. DVD player, CD Player. A feature gas fire heats the whole chalet and gives instant heat.
Also on the ground floor is a bathroom with shower cubicle and laundry facilities.

There is a large, luxurious, relaxing sauna, perfect after a day on the slopes! Robes are provided.

The modern kitchen area is fully equipped with oven / hob, fridge / freezer, dishwasher and all usual appliances including a kettle, toaster, coffee maker, etc. It overlooks the dining area over a servery/breakfast bar.

Bedroom 1 is a triple master bedroom with plenty of wardrobe space. There is a door leading onto an outside balcony. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are Austrian style double bedrooms with plenty of storage. Bedroom 2 also has a door leading out onto the balcony.
Bedroom 4 consists of a single bed with pull out sleepover bed underneath and storage. All are very warm and cosy in winter and cool in summer.

On the ground floor is a fully tiled shower room with toilet and wash basin. The laundry facilities are situated in this room. On the first floor is a fully tiled bathroom with overhead shower, toilet, bidet and wash basin. Both bathrooms have hairdryers and both bathrooms have under floor heating with individual thermostats and there are electric heaters in all bedrooms and both bathrooms – we can guarantee you will be cosy!

There is a large decked terrace to the rear of the chalet. There are 2 parking spaces at the front. The garden runs all around the chalet and is laid to lawn.

At the back of the chalet on the first floor, accessed by bedroom one and bedroom two there is a balcony.

On the complex there is a communal indoor, heated pool for your use.

There are wooden steps up to the front door of the chalet and a large step down from the decked terrace at the back.

The Almdorf Kreischberg chalets are located in the province of Styria near the lovely peaceful village of Stadl. Stadl is a fantastic location positioned between the two skiing resorts of Kreischberg and Turracher Höhe which offer over 70km of skiing.
It is also only 45km from the Obertauern ski region which has 120km of pistes and at 1700m is the most snow sure resort in Austria. Perfect for skiers of all levels.

Alternatively, why not try walking, mountain biking, golfing or simply relaxing and enjoying the wonderful views and clean pollen free alpine air.

The village of Stadl has a handful of restaurants and bars, supermarket and shops, banks and petrol station. It lies midway between the pretty towns of Murau and Tamsweg, both accessible by car in 15 minutes, there are many roadside restaurants along the way and the towns themselves feature all the amenities you would expect of larger towns.

Vienna (Bratislava) – Approx Travel Time 3 hrs (Ryanair)


Obviously the biggest activity in the winter is the skiing with the Chalet within easy reach of 2 main ski resorts there is plenty of choice of where to ski. With the option of so many ski resorts you can buy the ‘Murtal Pass’ which gives access to 8 ski areas. Just 25 minutes away is the Turracher Höhe ski region which offers a further 40km of skiing with a beautiful frozen lake that you can ski over in the centre.

The village has a leisure facility with an outdoor man-made lake. In the winter it is used as the local ice rink and in the summer months as an outdoor swimming pool. There is a wooden play area for the children, half pipe facilities for skaters, a tennis court all within walking distance of the chalet.

Stadl an der Mur is a beautiful summer resort. The mountains provide excellent opportunities for walking, hiking or cycling and the area has much more to offer.

For golfers there is a beautiful 18 hole golf course with stunning views all around just 10 minutes away in neighbouring St Lorenzen.
